Baby Swim Classes

Your Baby’s Development starts in the water

Baby swimming classes in Glen Waverley from 4 months of age. You and your baby in the water together, guided by our qualified instructors. 32 degrees, every day, all year round.

why start swimming so young?

Most parents come to their baby's first swimming class expecting fun and some water familiarity. What they discover is that something more significant is going on.

Research published in peer-reviewed journals in 2022 and 2024 found that babies attending regular water activity classes showed measurable improvements in motor development, cognitive flexibility and the early executive function skills that are most closely linked to school readiness.

The water creates a sensory environment that simply cannot be replicated on land. Movement slows down, sensory feedback is amplified, and neural pathways that are in a critical window of development during the first year of life are activated with every session.

Consistency is the key word. Not occasionally. Not just in summer. The pool in April does the same developmental work as the pool in January.

“Children who swim consistently in their early years arrive at school up to 15 months ahead of their peers.”
